KOLKATA: Punjab may be staring at the possibility of a thermal power supply shortage but Coal India, in a statement issued on Friday, said it has already delivered almost 75% of the contracted coal supply quantity for the period and has allowed it to lift coal from other subsidiaries too. It is up to the plants supplying power to the state to lift its full quota of coal to avoid a crisis.
